God is calling you...
Christianity can seem quite complicated when you're first learning about it. There are many different resources on-line to help. The basic thing is that Christians worship the one living God — the creator of everything! And we understand this one God manifests Himself in three special ways that we call the Holy Trinity. We believe the one God is understood as God the Father, God the Son (we know Him as Jesus Christ) and God the Holy Spirit. It’s complicated, but it's sort of like water, steam and ice — those three things seem very different, but in reality they are one element. Don’t get it? Don’t worry — it is complicated!
There are different branches of the Christian Church called ‘denominations’... there are Roman Catholics, Greek Orthodox, Presbyterians, Methodists and so many more. We’re Anglican Christians. Learn more about us by checking out the link to the left. It can be a big puzzle to figure out which Christian family you'd like to explore and perhaps belong to. Prayer will help guide you in your decisions. If you've never prayed before, you can read an article one of our priests wrote — the link is posted to the left.
We Christians believe that God is active in the world — active in your life! God loves the world that He has made and He loves you too. God understands you intimately because He made you and He knows what it’s like to be a person. Not only because He made you, but also because two-thousand years ago, God came down to earth as Jesus Christ. A great man and teacher who died for your sins... do you know about Jesus Christ?
