Welcome!
We hope you enjoy your on-line visit to the Anglican parish grouping of Christ Church, St. Paul’s and St. Agnes’. We’re located on the Canadian prairie in the Manitoban townships of Austin, MacGregor and Carberry. We’re a part of the Diocese of Brandon.
If you already worship with us, you’ll know that, though our congregations are small, we have a lot to offer in the service of God and neighbour. If you haven’t met us in person yet, we hope you’ll do so in the near future!
The Anglican tradition has often been described as a middle way between Protestant and Roman Catholic Christianity. If you’re new to Anglicanism (or otherwise exploring Christianity) you can find more information by visiting the diocesan website (the link is above right).
If you’re already Anglican, but haven’t been to Church for a while, why not re-visit your Christian roots by worshipping with us? Make stronger connexions with your spirit and your community by attending Church more often. Call Fr. Shane at 834 2471 to learn more about our parish, about Anglicanism or about Christianity in general.
O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: let the whole earth stand in awe of Him. — Psalm 96:9
Sermons
Anglican worship can usually be divided into at least two major parts: the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist (Holy Communion). Both parts work together in the worship of God and in the building up the faithful.
The sermon or ‘homily’ is usually the ‘high point’ of the Liturgy of the Word because this is the time where the priest has the opportunity to explain the Bible readings or make other observations and teachings.
Fr. Shane’s and Br. Seán’s sermons are hosted at www.vimeo.com, you can view them below and by clicking [here].
